Directions: Stagecoach service 40 runs hourly from Northampton bus station, also stopping on far side of road on bridge outside Northampton station. After bus passes the Bakers Arms in Bugbrooke, it turns right. Get off at second bus stop after it has turned, and at give way facing you turn left (signposted to Banbury). After approximately ¼ mile you cross canal and pub is on the left.
Comments: Much nicer pub inside than it looks from the front, next to canal with large beer garden and restaurant. Half hour barge cruises are also available on weekends. Beer on offer was Frog Island bitter from Northampton, also Old Speckled Hen and Courage, lagers include Fosters.
