Directions: Stagecoach services 40/X42 both operate hourly from Northampton bus station, also stopping on bridge outside Northampton station. Get off bus at Weedon crossroads, outside the Heart of England pub, take road on left (A5 towards Towcester) and pub is at top of hill by canal after about 1¼ mile. From Lower Weedon village, turn left at Plume of Feathers pub, pass under railway and past church on left, then go up onto canal and turn right. Pub is on second over bridge after about ½ mile.
Comments: Very nice country pub next to canal with smart restaurant section and bar meals served until 2pm. Beer by Charles Wells (Bombadier and Eagle), lager is Fosters and Carlsberg export.
